Neve Yarak

The house, about 350 square meters, sits on a plot of one dunam. It consists of a symmetrical two-story central building covered with stone and roofed with a tiled roof. The main building is enveloped by another one-story building. One side of the enveloping structure forms the entrance plaza to the house, the other side creates a pergola open to fields. The clients, a couple with children, asked for a house in a style like construction in Rosh Pina. The entrance plaza to the house was paved with stone and looks like a section of street in Rosh Pina Colony, from which you enter the main building. On the entrance floor of the main building are the kitchen, living room and study on the floor above. The space is open and symmetrical, its walls are painted with mineral plaster called "Jaffa plaster", which gives the overall look an old-fashioned effect that makes the house warm and inviting. The flooring is made of local stone with an ancient finish. The part connecting the main building and the enveloping building is closed with glass walls and serves as a family space. In the experience of the interior of the house, we also tried to blur the experience of one building and emphasize the structural mosaic that gives the experience of a complex composed of a connection of different buildings. The glass walls between the buildings emphasized the connection between interior and exterior. An arched wall connects the main building to the enveloping building, where the bedrooms are located. The wall of arches is also covered with local stone and continues the style of ancient construction at Rosh Pina. The interior design made by interior designer Miri Porat remained faithful to the rustic atmosphere that characterized the customers' wishes. The bedrooms were paved with wood and the wooden beams of the roof remained visible and exposed. There is a direct connection between the house and the garden. The green courtyard, which includes a pool overlooking the open fields, can be seen from all parts of the house. The pergola space overlooks the courtyard and is the size of an outdoor living room. The courtyard has a pool, an outdoor kitchen with a mud-oven and extensive grassy surfaces. The way the building sits on the lot, the story of the building, the relationship between it and the street and between it and the courtyard/view, the connection between the parts of the house and the relationship between the interior and exterior are the architectural dialogue that constitutes the essence of the residential experience.
