Pet Lovers

On a 1000 square meter plot we built a house for a family with 3 children. The owners, animal lovers, with many dogs and cats that were an integral part of the residents of the house. In addition, the owners of the house are antique collectors and a long list of objects and furniture they collected over the years became an integral part of the program. The building has 2 floors and a basement floor. On the plot we built the main building - a 2-story cube with a tiled roof. The central cube is enveloped by a one-story building that maintains close contact with the outside. The enveloping building contains an entrance balcony, a kitchen and a master bedroom. The close connection to what was happening outside was a central theme in the planning to be in touch with the garden, the animals in it and the swimming pool. To ensure proper maintenance, we made sure to choose materials with good durability. Most of the ground floor was paved with terracotta stones purchased in Italy. Also, most of the garden area has been paved as well. We adapted the style of materials in the house and openings to the strong character dictated by the variety of furniture and styles in the house.
