Savyon
On a 1350-square-meter plot in Savyon, a couple with their two children wanted to build their home. An essential part of the program for the house was their request to create an "outdoor living space". The couple returned from a vacation in Italy and brought with them a picture of a vaulted pergola from there and wanted to incorporate something like this in their new home. The existence of an "external living space" separate from the "internal living space" together with the interaction between the exterior and the interior is a central subject that we dealt with. The weather conditions in Israel turn the garden into an outdoor space where you can stay most of the year. The ability to look from the various parts of the house to what is happening in the garden and pool gives a sense of security and communication with what is happening throughout the house and the field. The vaulting element chosen by the clients as the pergola element took up the entire width of the lot.The dining room was inserted into the vaulted structure as a closed space and tightened the connection between the interior and exterior of the house. The house (2 floors and basement) of 410 sqm was built in Tuscan Italian style and designed by interior designer Michal Shamrich. A significant part of the finishing materials were imported from Europe and gave the place the authentic look that the owners wanted to achieve. The garden was designed by the company – "Rotem". The swimming pool, built opposite the two vaults of the dining area, allows a close view of the water while sitting in it, and opposite the four outer vaults stands the intimate garden surrounded by ornamental and fruit trees.
